SPOON AND SEED GLOSSARY

SCAPECE: pronounced SKA-PECH-AHH, an ancient Neapolitan preparation of onions, peppers, and vegetables seasoned with vinegar, garlic & fresh herbs - an important condiment in the Mediterranean diet

FALAFEL: Middle Eastern vegetarian street food staple made with chickpeas, spices and fresh herbs, we love how versatile falafel is, with eggs or in a pita, always satisfying! High in protein & fiber & has been shown to be effective in lowering cholesterol 

SOURDOUGH: The original all natural bread. 3 ingredients: American GMO Free Wheat Flour, Water, & Wild Yeast. Our sourdough mother has been bubbling since 2017. 

FAGIOLE BEANS: pronounced FAA-JOW-LEE, Fagioli is Italian for beans. Our beans are sourced from Marsh Hen Mill in Edisto Island, S.C. We slow cook them the same way it has been done in Southern Italy for centuries. 

PURPLE RAIN SLAW: Shredded Purple Cabbage, Roasted beets, apples, seasoned with fresh ginger, herbs, local cranberries - delicious & high in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals

Corned Beef Hash -  Butchered, brined, and made 100% from scratch

Smoked Pork Loin, Pork Belly, Smoked Turkeys, Pulled Pork, - butchered, smoked all in house

Bacon - Proudly sourced from New Hampshire at North Country Bacon

Crispy Chicken - butchered, buttermilk marinated and breaded 100% from scratch

Sausage - sometimes house made, sometimes locally made, always smoked in house
